When Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth first arrived in Hollywood, he was cast as the love interest to Miley Cyrus (his current real-life girlfriend) in the romantic drama The Last Song. Now Hemsworth’s stock has risen enough that he’s going to play the lead in a romantic weepie of his very own. Deadline reports that the 22-year-old actor has signed on to the Phillip Noyce–directed Timeless, where he’ll play a man who attempts to build a time-travel machine in order to reunite with his dead wife.
