Today, in a promotional cycle that is almost surely related to this Sunday’s Super Bowl, M.I.A. dropped her latest single “Bad Girls.” Close followers of the Maya Arulpragasam saga will remember that a similarly titled track appeared on last year’s Vicki Leekx mixtape, and yes, the single is a Danja-produced remix of that original song. So, for the record, M.I.A. remains committed to living fast, dying young, and driving with minimal concern for the safety of others (boys especially). Two more M.I.A. updates: (1) She’s still working on her fourth album, which is slated for a summer release, and (2) she’s definitely in the teaser for Madonna’s “Give Me All Your Luvin” video, which is set to debut on Friday, just in case the Super Bowl and W.E. release are not enough to satisfy your Madge hunger. Your turn, Nicki Minaj!
