Big K.R.I.T. Is an Old-School Friday Night Lights Fan

Here’s another music-related party game, courtesy of Mississippi rapper Big K.R.I.T: If you could write a musical ode to one — and only one — Friday Night Lights character, who would it be? It probably depends on the type of music you’ll be writing — Tami Taylor and her shimmy demand a sexytime slow jam, and Riggins is probably more of a classic-rock dude. What do you play for Coach Taylor? Does he even like music? Anyway, we digress — the point here is that K.R.I.T. has just released his own dedication to Boobie Miles, the tailback from the Friday Night Lights movie that preceded the show. The track, off his upcoming mixtape 4eva N A Day, keeps mostly to your standard fourth-quarter aphorisms, rather than dropping the FNL trivia, but it has at least provided us with an excuse to reference the show at length. Plus, there’s some very smooth saxophone. One more peace of inspiration, from K.R.I.T. himself:The only difference between a winner N a loser is a winner plays until he wins.”  Get out there and win, everyone.
