He’s got Dark Shadows coming out this summer, but Johnny Depp already has plans to adapt another supernatural TV drama for the big screen. Deadline reports that Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) has signed on to direct Depp in a feature transfer of The Night Stalker, a seventies TV show starring Darren McGavin as a crime reporter investigating things that go bump in the night. (It was also remade as a TV show in 2005, though it only lasted six episodes.) Do you think Wright and Depp bonded over their similar hairstyles?
