Netflix’s original programming experiment so far consists of one very high-profile project — the Kevin Spacey–David Fincher drama House of Cards — but there is now a second series on deck. According to Bloomberg, the streaming giant will produce an adaptation of Piper Kerman’s popular 2010 prison memoir, Orange Is the New Black, from Weeds creator Jenji Kohan. (This is a deal that’s been rumored for a few months.) Netflix is also reportedly in talks to distribute the Eli Roth–produced horror series Hemlock Grove, so it’s an exciting week for fans of gratuitous blood, tangerine coveralls, and Roku boxes (or all three!).
