The X Factor Will Add Two Hosts Next Season

THE X FACTOR: THE X FACTOR is the new competition series that gives viewers the opportunity to help choose the next global superstar or breakout music group. Judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, L.A. Reid and Nicole Scherzinger will travel the nation searching for undiscovered talent. Hosted by Steve Jones, the two-night series premiere will showcase the live auditions which took place in front of audiences of thousands, around the country Wednesday, Sept. 21 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) and Thursday, Sept. 22 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Despite The X Factor’s poor ability to retain employees, the show will hire a pair of hosts to replace Steve Jones next season. “What we learned is that because you have so much information to deliver, it’s almost impossible for one person,” Simon Cowell says. “It’s more fun way to do it with two people. It’s a different chemistry. I’ve always wanted a boy and a girl and that will definitely happen.” One more gender-oriented X Factor datum: The two new judges (the voracious rumor mill recently ingested Janet Jackson and Britney Spears) will both be ladies. So keep that speculation flying — all divas are fair game.
