Doctor Who’s new companion is Jenna-Louise Coleman, a 25-year-old British actress relatively unknown to American audiences, though she’s in the Julian Fellowes Titanic miniseries, so maybe she’ll be everyone’s new favorite British ingenue in no time. “Who she’s playing, how the Doctor meets her, and even where he finds her, are all part of one of the biggest mysteries the Time Lord ever encounters,” showrunner Steven Moffat claimed in a statement. Moffat previously promised that Amy Pond and Rory’s exit would be “heartbreaking,” so that’s really a lot of sci-fi emotion barreling toward us in the coming months.
