Back in October, Dave Longstreth told SPIN that he and the gang were holed up in a “haunted house” upstate, recording a new Dirty Projectors album for early 2012. And then … radio silence, pretty much. Until now! Below is a shiny new song called “Gun Has No Trigger,” which is apparently the lead single off the still-untitled and unscheduled LP. Vulture will not stand in your way any longer except to say that it involves the funkiest failed suicide put to music so far in 2012. (Or maybe it’s not failed — who knows what happens after the song? Presumably you can rig up a makeshift gun trigger somehow? We’re not experts.) Okay, anyway, enjoy!
