With Bates in prison, William in Heaven, and Ethel busy in Mommy Mode, the below-stairs cast at Downton Abbey was looking a little thin on the ground. Tea trays and dead Turkish diplomats do not carry themselves! Thankfully, two new maids (Cara Theobold and Lucille Sharp) and two new footmen (Matt Milne and Ed Speleers) have been announced for season three. There’s no word on the maids’ characters yet, but one of the footmen (Milne) will apparently be O’Brien’s nephew, and the other (Speleers) is too cute not to be someone’s love interest. So, who’s it gonna be: Lady Edith? Thomas? Anna? Anna, Bates could forgive you, and we totally would.
