In its first ever upfront presentation today, IFC announced (wisely) that Portlandia will return for a third season. There’s more. The network is also launching several new comedies this year and next, including an “animated coming-of-age series,” Out There; an “anti-game show,” Bunk, which will include segments such as, “Break the News to a 5-Year-Old”; and a show tentatively titled Maron, based on the exploits of comedian Marc Maron. Portlandia’s third season will begin in January 2013. And this summer, IFC will show Portlandia: The Brunch Special. Marionberry pancakes sold separately.
