Videogum points our attention to a delightful Gary Busey anecdote in the AV/Club Toronto’s Random Roles interview with Curtis Jackson (a.k.a Booger from Revenge of the Nerds), and there is really nothing else to do but circle round for Story Time. Some backstory first: Jackson worked with Busey on Quiqley, a 2003 movie about a software tycoon who is reincarnated as a fluffy-white Pomeranian. (Both the trailer and the poster are worth a look.) Jackson was asked about the experience of working with Busey, and we’ll just let him take it away:

We were shooting this movie — which is a horrible movie — and he was supposed to come back from the dead. And he of course, Gary Busey, supposedly had done this — he’d been in an accident and died and came back. He showed up on a set made to look like heaven, and he looked around and said, “I can’t play this scene.” They were three days behind at this point. But Busey said, “It’s nothing like this. I’ve been to heaven and it doesn’t look like this. That sofa’s all wrong. That mirror is ridiculous. They don’t even have mirrors!” It was ridiculous. He was completely nuts about the design of heaven.

Busey apparently then started fighting with another actor who’d had a near-death experience about what, exactly, heaven looks like. There’s more! Go read it all.
