Last week, Axl Rose declined his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with a very long and passive aggressive — but still mostly polite! — open letter. They inducted him anyway. Today, Axl has written another long and generally very polite letter to the people of Cleveland, apologizing for not preemptively apologizing before skipping the ceremony. We’d quote more, but Axl signed off with the following: “If anyone does choose to pick this up as has been done previously I’d appreciate if you’d run in full including this paragraph so as not to give a partial picture, have things taken out of context or to imply or inadvertently give the impression this was intended for other outlets.” So, Axl is sorry, and if you want to read about the time he gave a homeless woman pizza when she wanted soup, the full letter is here.
