Sad news coming out of TMZ: Dick Clark died today of a heart attack, the site reports. Famed for hosting American Bandstand and ABC’s annual Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, Clark had to scale back his duties on the latter broadcast in 2004, when he suffered a severe stroke. Still, even after the New Year’s Eve torch was passed to host Ryan Seacrest, Clark continued to make appearances, fighting valiantly through his slurred speech. The man often referred to as “America’s Oldest Living Teenager” was 82.
