The most pleasing aspect of Drake’s “HYFR” re-bar mitzvah video (aside from the Hora, the photo cake, the mini-Drake dancing footage, and Lil Wayne’s panda bear ski mask) was the sense that the usually morose rapper was actually enjoying himself. Happy, smiling Drake! It was like spotting a rare bird in the wild — surely he would disappear as quickly as he arrived. But, no, says Drizzy; he’s genuinely changed, and his upcoming album will reflect his newfound contentment. The relevant quote: “A lot of Take Care (his most recent album), it’s down … now I’m in a very, very, very, very different place than I’ve ever been, really focused on myself, really focused on my health, my body, my mind, really wanting to be the best I can possibly be … I’m in a different mindset now that I’m very proud of.” Five verys! Who is this weirdly enthusiastic person, and what have you done with our Drake?
