The details are still a little hazy on this one, but here’s what we know: Around 3:30 a.m. on Monday, Havoc’s Twitter was taken over by a stream of generally hateful and homophobic messages directed toward his Mobb Deep partner Prodigy. Many assumed that Havoc’s Twitter had been hacked; others assumed, sadly, that Mobb Deep was breaking up. Late last night, Havoc released the following statement: “I left my phone at a gas station yesterday evening while on my way to Jersey after a glorious Knick’s game. To all Mobb Deep fans: it’s business as usual! It’s Mobb Deep all day!!!” But then this morning, Power 105’s “The Breakfast Club” played a recording that is allegedly Havoc saying similarly unkind things about Prodigy. And some bloggers have noticed that the phone story might not add up. So yikes, this might get uglier before it gets better.
