tUnE-yArDs’ ‘My Country’ Video: These Kids Are Really Cute

You know how the old saying goes: Do not look a joyful gift-music-video in the mouth. So while we’re not totally clear on why Merrill Garbus, a.k.a. tUnE-yArDs, decided to drop the visuals for “My Country” today, a full year after the release of w h o k i l l, Vulture chooses not to question the move, because this video is so wonderful. Look at all those totally adorable kids! Can you even pick a favorite? We’re partial to the one dancing around with a cone on her head (is she the same kid who’s doing the monster side-shuffle with Garbus? That’s a nice moment). Shouts also to the kid in the Where the Wild Things Are garb, the saxophonist, and the little guy in the front of the huddle who still seems a little perplexed about what, exactly, is going on. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t like it, though. How could you not like this?
