As a part of their ongoing 50th anniversary tour, the newly, wholly reunited (meaning: with Brian Wilson) Beach Boys took over Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night for three songs — including their familiar new single, “That’s Why God Made the Radio” — and a bonus Wilson–Mike Love interview. The latter’s highlights included Fallon learning to harmonize (on “Barbara Ann”); a sockless Love explaining his Sirius Radio habits; and Wilson demonstrating Elvis’s karate form. Fallon was plainly thrilled to have them, which always makes these segments more enjoyable, and whatever tension that once existed between Wilson and Love seems to have dissipated with the help of coordinating paisley shirts. Plus, they did “Wouldn’t It Be Nice.” Vulture, at least, is always ready for one more round of that song. Enjoy.
