Dane Cook will make his non-comic onstage debut in a starry weekend run of The Producers at the end of July in Los Angeles, Deadline reports. Cook is set to play the role of Franz Liebkind alongside Richard Kind as Max Bialystock, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Leo Bloom, and Rebecca Romijn as Ulla. Since Cook hates controversy, it makes sense that he’s easing his way into theater as the ex-Nazi Springtime for Hitler scribe.
