David Simon can be kind of touchy about the ways that his seminal HBO show The Wire has been appropriated since its run, but today’s musical spoof? Yeah, even he laughed. “Hilarious. Just great,” Simon blogged this morning, after Michael K. Williams e-mailed him the Funny or Die sketch. “Felecia’s turn alone is worth the time. Ya hair look good, Snoop.” Added Simon, “Someone hand me a burner and Sondheim’s number.”
