The first 30 seconds of Kanye’s “Mercy” video — featuring Pusha T, 2 Chainz, Big Sean, and an unidentified, bored-looking woman — seem pretty straightforward. It’s the G.O.O.D. music crew, in leather jackets and experimental headwear, standing around in a parking deck. Standard. But then you realize that the video is one continuous shot, and wait, there are two (green-screen-ed, we assume?) versions of every rapper, and hold on, Kanye can throw the camera around whenever he feels like? Magic! Also, can you imagine what these rehearsals were like, with the arm dancing and Kanye running back behind the camera every two seconds to pop out the other side? Please release the outtakes, ‘Ye; we are sure they are awesome.
