Just a week after the History Channel’s Hatfields & McCoys three-night special scored an impressive 14-million audience ratings, NBC announced today it is working with Charlize Theron to produce a modern-day version. Though specifics are scarce, Deadline reports that the project will reimagine the Hatfields richer by a fortune or two, with the McCoys now firmly blue-collar. Perhaps a setup for a Wall Street Hatfields versus Occupy Wall Street McCoys face-off.
