Welcome, also, to Emma Watson welcoming us to the Island of Misfit Toys, inviting us to “go be psychos together,” and doing her Rocky Horror thing in the first trailer for The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Stephen Chbosky’s adaptation of his own 1999 novel will feature angsty typewriting and loud proclamations of high-school battle cries — notably the “we are infinite” sentiment, which is either about to get disowned or adopted anew by teens everywhere. But hey, Logan Lerman’s portrayal of narrator-protagonist Charlie looks to be on point, and Paul Rudd plays an English teacher.
