Neal Stephenson’s 1992 novel Snow Crash, which presaged World of Warcraft/Facebook/everything and features the splendidly named Hiro Protagonist, is being adapted by Attack the Block’s Joe Cornish over at Paramount. Cornish, who Deadline says has been offered “a ton of projects” since Block, will also write the screenplay. Welcome to the Metaverse, Joe.
