Battleship recently underperformed for Universal, but it hasn’t put up a stop to studios hoping to mine kids’ toys for the next franchise on par with Transformers. The latest addition to the development sheets? A Tonka Trucks movie, as Sony has signed a deal with Hasbro to make an animated film based on the toy truck brand.
