Yesterday’s surprise TomKat settlement announcement did not include any details about the custody arrangement for the couple’s daughter, Suri, but the Associated Press is reporting that Katie Holmes will have “primary custody” of the 6-year-old, per the terms of the divorce agreement. According to a source, Tom Cruise will have visitation rights, but Holmes will have “the lead role in choosing how Suri will be educated. TMZ reports that the settlement’s custody specifications include “restrictions on what Tom and Katie can discuss with Suri on the subject of religion, including Scientology” but that “the restrictions are eased the older Suri gets.” And family law experts say that Cruise will likely still have a “legal right to teach his daughter Scientology,” according to standard custody arrangements.
