Our obsession with Breaking Bad is no secret here at Vulture, whether through Matt Zoller Seitz’s Monday morning recaps or our idea for a Walt and Jesse spring-break movie. The characters are all so well inhabited that it made us want our readers to inhabit them (physically, not behaviorally!). And with that in mind, we are announcing our Breaking Bad Look-alike Contest on Facebook with a first prize of $1,000, an always-useful hazmat suit, and a photo of the winner signed by Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan himself. The rules are simple: Select any Breaking Bad character (anyone from a regular cast member to a one-episode player), dress up in their image, and send us your best doppelgänger photo. Be creative: Makeup, costumes, wigs, and props are all welcome!
Our editors will choose the top-five look-alikes, and then it’s up to you, Vulture Facebook fans, to vote for first-, second-, and third-place entries. You have until September 2 to enter your look-alike photo for a chance to be among our five finalists, and then readers will vote for a winner from September 5 to 9, with the victor announced on the 10th. While the winner will get the cash, hazmat suit, and signed photo, second- and third-place winners will each receive DVD box sets of Breaking Bad seasons one through four.
