England’s Christopher Eccleston, who held the titular role in Doctor Who for one season as well as appeared in The Others and Elizabeth, is set to play Thor: The Dark World’s villain Malekith the Accursed. When Mads Mikkelsen was being courted for the role in May, it was said he’d act alongside Tom Hiddleston’s Loki. Eccleston joins the recently cast Zachary Levi; the film is set for November 8, 2013.
