Michael Just-the-best Fox is working on a new single-camera project with director Will Gluck (Easy A) and writer Sam Laybourne (Cougar Town, Arrested Development). Are you excited? Well either way, the networks surely are, probably because Fox is deservedly well-liked and has had multiple hit sitcoms. The situation is being described as a “bidding war” and a “feeding frenzy.” There is even talk that one network is offering a direct to series deal, which is nuts and never happens anymore with the big four networks. There’s no official word yet on what the show will be about, though the word on the street is that it’ll shoot in New York and be based on Fox’s own life. So, he’ll play Stuart Little, a time-traveling werewolf who is the deputy mayor of New York City. I’d watch that.
