It’s been nearly a year since FX passed on the Southern crime family pilot Outlaw County, and the network’s now burning off the final product in a unique way, packaging it as a TV movie and quietly airing it this Friday at 10 p.m. Set in Nashville, the pilot-turned-film stars John Hawkes and Mary Steenburgen. “This is a rare public broadcast of a busted pilot not developed as a backdoor movie as they normally never see the light of day,” Deadline reports.
