Ken Watanabe will take on the Clint Eastwood role in the Japanese remake of Unforgiven. According to THR, this adaptation still takes place in 1880 but will be set in Hokkaido, where Watanabe will play a “samurai with a violent past” who reluctantly agrees to take on “one last job.” Well, some things translate perfectly.
