NBC is getting in the comedy business with Jerry Bruckheimer, producer of such hilarious fare as CSI:Miami, Prince of Persia, The Amazing Race, and CSI: NY. The single-cam comedy, The B-Side, will focus on a thirty-something woman who freaks out after a divorce and as a result reunites with her high school friends. (Sounds positively 90s.) Sheri Elwood, creator of the Canadian comedy Call Me Fitz, will write the show, which has so far gotten a script commitment. Remember when NBC said they wanted to move in a broader direction? I guess, they are nailing it.
