Brad Pitt’s hitman story Killing Them Softly could be Oscar bait — it does feature head Soprano James Gandolfini and Goodfella Ray Liotta playing directly in their thematic wheelhouse. So in order to capitalize on “a sliver of daylight in the Oscar season release corridor,” the Weinstein Company has bumped the film from October 19 back to November 30, Deadline reports. Currently Killing Them Softly will be the only major film opening that day.
