CBS is developing an untitled medical drama from Hawaii Five-O showrunner Peter Lenkov (who’s also worked on 24 and CSI: NY) that will revolve around a legendary, Steve Jobs-ish tech billionaire who uses his terminal cancer as a reason to build a super-hospital and staff it with the world’s savviest doctors to try to cure him. But then — cue “Heart of Gold” — he discovers that saving others is the real joy of Christmas/life.
