Marc Webb will return to the Spider-Man franchise to direct The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Variety reports. The movie is currently scheduled to open May 2, 2014, so … get cracking, dude. Webb’s exact involvement was up in the air for a while, since he has a contract with Fox Searchlight for another movie after (500) Days of Summer, but what Spidey wants, Spidey gets. (Except the safety of his loved ones. He can never truly have that.)
