NBC is looking for another White House show, in addition to its upcoming comedy 1600 Penn. Deadline reports that the network has bought an hour-long drama called White House Confidential, an “upstairs-downstair-type soap” centered on a young female doctor on staff who also has some kind of secret. If that sounds a little sudsy, it’s only because the show was written by former General Hospital head writer Sri Rao. So, who gets Ainsley Hayes’s old basement office in the steam pipe trunk distribution venue?
