Now that the Arrested Development reunion is finally underway after six years of the cast and crew teasing us with a lotta “it’s happening” and “it might not be happening,” comedy fans need a new sequel to get their hopes up over, and the Farrelly Brothers have stepped up to the plate. Ever since Dumb and Dumber To (sic) was announced last February, there’s been a lot of flip-flopping about whether it’s actually gonna happen or not. Jim Carrey left the project in June, but is apparently now back onboard. The Farrelly Brothers took to Twitter yesterday evening to announce that they are almost done with the script to the sequel. So, expect another 2-3 years of updates and non-updates on the movie and keep in mind that it may not happen at all. Despite this, though, the Dumb and Dumber sequel’s chances right now seem better than the odds of Ghostbusters 3, the Party Down movie, and Zoolander 2 actually getting made. We’ll see.
