The music video for “Magpie,” the first single off of Beth Orton’s upcoming Sugaring Season (October 2), appears to have been filmed entirely through an Instagram filter. It fits in with the general aesthetic of directors Arni & Kinski, the duo behind Florence + the Machine’s “No Light, No Light,” Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars,” and several Sigur Ros videos. Produced by Tucker Martine (who has worked with the Decemberists, Sufjan Stevens, and My Morning Jacket), Orton’s album is her first since 2006’s Comfort of Strangers.
