Late Night with Jimmy Fallon took aim at this Mitt Romney/Big Bird thing last night with a sketch called “Mister Romney’s Neighborhood” that sees presidential hopeful Mitt Romney (played by Fallon) hosting his own Mister Rogers-esque PBS kids show. It’s a funny segment that manages to get a lot of clever jabs in at Romney (and a few at Obama too), and the writers even work in a nice gag about the Mitt Romney Dog Incident, which I just found out has its own Wikipedia page. Maybe Romney would care more for public television if he got to host his own show, as Fallon proves that Romney hosting a kids show would be creepy but ultimately successful.
