Let’s Face It, ‘Ghostbusters III’ Isn’t Happening and It’s Probably a Good Thing

Ghostbusters III, which has been in development since the late 90s, has been delayed again, according to The Hollywood Reporter. We reported two weeks ago that the movie was set to film this summer, but the latest news is that the Ghostbusters III won’t be ready until “fall at the earliest.” After nearly two decades of delays on this project and news that Bill Murray won’t be involved, I think it’s time to throw in the towel on rallying for a new Ghostbusters, everybody on the internet. When has picking up a franchise years later ever resulted in a good movie? Or even an okay movie? Hopefully, this latest delay will cause Sony Pictures, Dan Aykroyd, and director Ivan Reitman to just give up on this one and save the fans from being disappointed when the movie finally comes out, which will be in like 2019 if everyone keeps dragging their feet at this rate.
