The Mercury Prize will live at Alt-J’s house this year. The pattern-happy indie band’s An Awesome Wave edged out Jessie Ware, Django Django, and the Maccabees (among others) for Britain’s highfalutin music award. It’s okay, Jessie Ware! You still win the Best Twitter Avatar prize.
