The totally charming, if not earth-shattering, Call the Midwife is coming back to PBS, the network announced today. The second season starts March 31, and to hold you over until then, there’s a Christmas special Sunday, December 30. Why don’t American TV shows have Christmas specials? Christmas specials are the best. Especially Christmas specials that involve Miranda Hart’s Chummy character, who is the best the best.
