Paul Scheer, of NTSF, The League, and Human Giant fame, is making his first foray into comic book authorship with a new four-issue miniseries called Aliens Vs. Parker that’ll debut in February. Comic Book Resources has a nice interview with Scheer and his co-writer on the project, Nick Giovannetti. Working with artist Manuel Bracci and BOOM! Studios, Scheer and Giovannetti wrote Aliens Vs. Parker, a comedic sci-fi story about a bunch of slacker video game players working for a space delivery service who have to take a break from their games when they land on a mysterious planet. Scheer and Giovannetti originally began working on Aliens Vs. Parker as a movie before re-imagining it as a comic book because of that whole thing where comic books are way less difficult to make than movies and movies are pretty much impossible to get made.
