The long-anticipated return of the Ghostbusters is finally happening, although only for one night and in one theater (LACMA). It will be the movie performed at tomorrow’s installment of Jason Reitman’s monthly Live Read series. It’s a special one for Reitman, because his father, Ivan Reitman, directed the original. So who will play the busters, buster? Rainn Wilson will read for Egon, Jack Black is in as Ray, and in the Venkman role … Seth Rogen. Yep, the same Seth Rogen who was rumored years ago to be attached to star in Ghostbusters 3 and who later called a reboot a “terrible idea.” Other notable readers include Kristen Bell in the Dana Barrett role and Parenthood’s Mae Whitman as the receptionist Janine Melnitz. The show is sold out; however, there will be a standby line. See you there.
