Here are a few reasons to fear actual truth in TMZ’s report of a Chris Brown/Frank Ocean fight in L.A. on Sunday night: This wouldn’t be Brown’s first, second, or third time involved in a “no way that really happened” story of violence; it’s not the first time Brown and Ocean have exchanged less-than-favorable vibes (Ocean said Brown reminds him of “a young Sisqo or Ike Turner”). Reasons to stay skeptical: TMZ’s account of this thing that allegedly went down inside a recording studio seems preposterously detailed — “The sources say Frank said, ‘This is my studio, this is my parking spot.’ We’re told Chris went to shake Frank’s hand … and that’s when one of Frank’s people attacked Chris. Sources connected with Chris say one of Chris’ friends jumped in front and hit Frank’s friend. Sources connected with Chris say Frank then came at Chris … Chris pushed him away and they started brawling.” Stay tuned.
Update: Frank Ocean tweeted about the fight. (Everest is his dog.)
Update No. 2: Witnesses confirm that the fight was over a parking space, but they contradict TMZ’s story, claiming instead that Brown threw the first punch. Ocean stayed to cooperate with authorities; the police still want to talk to Brown.
