We’ve already championed Lucy Punch’s BJ as the funniest part of the very pleasant Ben and Kate. However, she is also the show’s most British part, probably because she is in fact British. This Englishness was on full display last night, when she tried to teach 6-year-old Maddie how to do a proper South Kensington accent. Later in the episode, Maddie and BJ are supposed to audition for a commercial as mother and daughter, so this means Maddie needs to nail the accent. In this scene, BJ coaches her on how to do so, by hilariously taking her on a tour of British accents with stops in Birmingham, Bristol, and Michael Caine.
