At last night’s Grammy Awards, the Black Keys performed “Lonely Boy” along with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Dr. John, who received much attention for his batshit-crazytown headdress (seen above). Though it was easy to make fun of the New Orleans–bred musician for looking like an Ewok witch doctor, Dr. John has rocked such finery for as long as he’s been Dr. John. Over the decades, as part of his “Night Tripper” persona, he has regularly hit the stage in be-feathered Mardi Gras–esque costumes. Just take a look at the cover art for his 2012 album, Locked Down.
