Parks and Recreation star Rashida Jones and her writing partner Will McCormack just signed a two-year development deal with Warner Bros. Television. As writers, the duo is best known for penning the screenplay to the movie Celeste & Jesse Forever, starring Jones and Andy Samberg, which premiered at Sundance last year and received generally positive reviews. In addition to the Warner Bros. deal, Jones and McCormack are writing the movie version of Jones’s graphic novel miniseries Frenemy of the State, about a 20something socialite working undercover for the CIA. Under their new TV deal, Jones and McCormack will write and produce comedy and drama shows for both network and cable TV. So, they’re basically doing every type of show.
