Good thing we didn’t eliminate the possibility that Carrie Fisher was joking when she said the new Star Wars would feature an elderly Princess Leia “in an intergalactic old folks’ home.” But still — Fisher was asked in no uncertain terms if she was doing the movie, and she said yes, point-blank. Now Fisher’s rep tells CNN, “She was joking. Nothing has been announced.” At this point, everyone could return and J.J. Abrams could make Episode VII flawless and it still might not justify how much they’ve jerked us around with all the speculation.
