Having Keanu Reeves introduce a trailer isn’t an everyday occurrence, but Generation Um… is an indie flick that might only have Keanu Reeves going for it. The film looks gritty and/or completely disjointed, like Rent without the singing, maybe. Keanu operates a camera and quizzes his younger lady companions about their sex lives. He gets a cupcake-eating close-up. He drives a shabby brown automobile. That’s about all we can tell. (THR has a little color to add, saying Generation Um… ”follows a single night in the lives of three party-hopping friends in New York City as they document their sexual escapades and test the boundaries of their relationship.”) Mark Mann’s feature debut will hit VOD on April 26 and has a limited theatrical release beginning May 3.
