This pairing doesn’t really warrant a joke about the death of true love and all that, so we’ll just cut to the chase: Katy Perry and John Mayer have broken up for the second time, say sources/terrible friends. “It’s sad,” a “pal” tells Us Weekly. The two were first linked last summer and briefly split in August. There’s apparently still hope for the relationship, though. Keep that candle burning for Jerry (the couple name we’re retroactively instating).
